That's What I Love About Sunday

So every Sunday we go to Church at 9am on Kalani St which translates to The Heavenly St. Ironically enough, the Kona Temple is located directly behind the Church. We got to Church way early...a half hour early to be exact, so we decided to walk up to the Temple and take some pics together since we hadn't had a chance to do so earlier. This was Byron's first Sunday home in over 3 weeks and it was nice to go to Church together finally. That way, it eliminates the constant questioning that you get from typical latter day saints who always wants to know everything about you including the TMI's (too much information)!

And Again...

Even though we're constantly questioned about ourselves and everyone else on the island and over in the mainland, we love Sunday the most. Byron always told me throughout our dating years that Sunday was his favorite day because he loves going to Church, but for me, it was always Friday because you don't have to work anymore, you get to look forward to your date in 2 hours, and you get to sleep in on the weekends. But after being married to Byron, I'm learning to love Sundays just as much as he does. I'm realizing that I've always knew where I belong on Sunday- and that is- at Church...partaking the Sacrament and renewing my covenants. Then, we all go to Moms house for an early dinner after Church cuz Moms always cooking something good. Then we crash out on her couch to Dad's Hawaiian Slack Key music in the background. (Trust me, I feel VERY fortunate to have a husband that moved me closer to Mom and Dad for a while - it is SO nice!) Or if we were in Alaska, we'd go to Palmer to Byron's Moms house and eat and I crash on the couch while Byron is off in the woods somewhere after dinner.

We love Sunday! It's a quiet, relaxing, GREAT day.
